La Mer et L’Île plays A. Dvorak and Korea’s Chamber Music

Ensemble La Mer et L’Île (The Sea and the Island) makes its overseas tour and Première concert in Hong Kong during Festive Korea this year. Among others, A. Dvorak’s Piano Quintet in A Major, Opus 81 as well as Korea’s contemporary chamber music will be presented, guiding audiences to Korea’s beautiful sea and island.

There will be firstly ‘Blue and Black for Piano Quartet’ composed by Elisenda Fabregas, Spanish/American composer, and secondly ‘Morning of the Ocean for Violin, Haegum and Cello’, composed by Korean composer Jonghee Kang. Unique to this concert, let yourself be immersed in the harmony of the Korean traditional musical instrument Haegum, together with violin and cello. The beautiful Korean vocal music sung by Soprano Hye Jung Kang accompanied by string quartet and piano will add even more flavor to its harmony.

All musicians are much sought-after classical players in Korea, Europe and North America. Come and listen to the beautiful Korean chamber music as well as other well-known classical titles in Hong Kong.
